ARTIST STATEMENT

In my art, glass is the central medium through which I explore universal themes such as unity, infinity, growth, and decay. These concepts reflect the essence of the human experience and form the core of my work. By exploring these ideas, I aim to capture the delicate balance of life—our profound connection to nature and the sense of oneness that binds us all.

Glass offers me a unique way to express these themes. The material's transparency and fluidity, enhance the symbolism in my work, allowing me to convey the ephemeral and ethereal aspects of existence. My inspiration comes from personal stories, myths, and poetry, which I translate into organic forms that feel both universal and intimate.

My creative process is rooted in traditional glass techniques such as kiln casting and pâte de verre. These methods enable me to create large, bold forms that bring my ideas to life. At the same time, I enjoy working with borosilicate glass on a torch, which allows me to push my technical boundaries and discover new avenues for expression with a lighter touch. For me, art revolves around the dynamic interplay between creativity and craftsmanship. ​

 

Through my art, I invite viewers to reflect on the fragility and interconnectedness of life. I aim to reveal the beauty found in life's cycles of renewal and transition—a reminder of the unseen, ethereal forces that connect us all.​
